Captain Allen Edward "Boot" Hill

Capt. Allen E. Hill was born in Riverside, CA in 1928, and entered the naval service in 1946. He commenced flight training in 1948 as a Midshipman, U.S. Navy, and received his wings in January 1950.
He has served in VF-112, VF-13, VA-125, VA-192 and CVW-2. While serving with VF-112 he deployed twice to Korea flying the F9F2 Panther. He has deployed three times to Southeast Asia serving as Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of VA-192 and as Commander CVW-2. Captain Hill has also served as Flight Deck Officer on the USS Intrepid (CVA-11); Staff, CINCPACFLT, in the Pacific Division; J-3 Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations/Plans, Commander, Attack Carrier Striking Force 7th Fleet. He recently commanded the Amphidious Transport Dock USS Duluth (LPD-6). He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, the Naval War College and the National War College.
He and his wife, the former Jacqueline Ellen Brechin of Riverside, CA, and their children, Suzanne and Scott, reside at NAS Alameda, CA.
